2. What DriverCam Does

DriverCam is a mobile application that records driving footage directly on your device.

• Records video using your device camera
• May record audio if you enable audio recording
• May collect location, speed, and route data to tag recordings and display route maps
• Allows export of clips, evidence packages, and user-initiated sharing

3. Data the App Handles

• Video recordings
• Optional audio recordings
• Precise location data
• Speed and route history derived from location
• Clip metadata (timestamps, duration, lock status, session grouping)
• Evidence package files (metadata JSON, GPX route files, SHA-256 manifest files)
• User-initiated clipboard/share content for incident handoff

4. Where Data Is Stored

All recordings, route data, metadata, and evidence package contents are stored locally on your device.

DriverCam does not operate its own backend servers or cloud account system at this time.

5. Data Sharing

DriverCam does not automatically send user data to the developer.

Data leaves your device only when you explicitly choose to perform actions such as:

• Saving content to Photos
• Sharing via the iOS share sheet
• Copying incident text to clipboard
• Opening Messages or Mail with prefilled content

6. Third Parties / SDKs

DriverCam does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs.

Sharing through Apple system services such as Photos, Messages, Mail, or the iOS share sheet is always user-initiated.

7. Permissions Used

• Camera: To record driving video
• Microphone: To record audio if enabled by you
• Location: To add GPS coordinates, speed, and route data to clips and maps
• Photos (Add-Only): To save exported videos to your Photos library

8. Tracking

DriverCam does not track users across apps or websites and does not use collected data for advertising purposes.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

• All data remains on your device until you delete it or it is removed by loop-storage management
• Unlocked clips may be automatically deleted when a configured storage limit is reached
• You can manually delete clips at any time
• You can bulk-delete unlocked clips

10. User Controls

• Enable or disable audio recording
• Choose default camera
• Export or share data manually
• Delete clips
• Delete unlocked clips
• Deny location permission and continue recording without GPS tagging

11. International Availability

DriverCam is available internationally.

Because data is stored locally on your device and not uploaded to developer-operated servers, there are no routine international data transfers performed by the app operator.

If you choose to share content through Apple or third-party applications, those services’ own privacy policies will apply.

12. Children

DriverCam is intended for general consumer use and is not designed specifically for children.

13. Security

Data is stored locally within the app’s sandbox and is protected by standard iOS device security features.

Evidence package hashes are provided as an integrity aid only and do not represent certification or tamper-proof guarantees.

Most data handled by DriverCam is stored only on your device. If you wish to delete your data, you can do so by deleting clips within the app or removing the app from your device.

15. No Liability and User Responsibility

DriverCam is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MockWit Inc. disclaims all liability for any damages, losses, claims, or consequences arising out of or related to:

• The use or inability to use the application
• The accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of recordings or data
• Any reliance on recordings, metadata, or exported evidence
• Any incidents, accidents, or events captured or not captured by the app
• Any sharing, disclosure, or use of data by third-party services

You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for how you use DriverCam, including compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding recording, driving, and data sharing.

You assume full responsibility for any risks associated with using the app, including decisions made based on recorded content or data generated by the app.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
